Representing the point of view of single and teen-age mothers as well as the long lost group of women that suffer from destructive eating disorders. It’s not the typical Nike athletic endorsement more so than the latest catch phrase for “Nike: Boom”; the commercial shows Rick Ross walking into a jewelry shop to pick up a customized piece and when the jeweler reveals the piece that the viewer does not clearly see at first Ross says, “Boom!”.

Producers of the 5th Annual Florida Entertainment Summit (FES) announced today that their 5th annual event will take place on December 10-12, 2009 at The Miami Music Festival. Conference sessions on film and fashion produced by FES on Thursday, December 10, 2009 will be followed by sessions for “independent artists in the new music industry” produced by FES and The Miami Music Festival on Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th. "The Greatest Song" is a compassionate love story with a comedic twist as two imperiled churches of different ethnicities join together through love, music, laughter and prayer. A successful music producer (Lamman Rucker, Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns) thinks he's got all the answers, but heaven help him when he meets a stunning church choir director (Aida Rodriguez). South Beach set the scene Saturday night as Chaos of Miami Rap trio Grind Mode celebrated with an All Star Birthday Bash at urban hotspot SOBE LIVE. This event brought the entire city out as fans and friends popped bottles all night long and Miami showed support to South Dade’s finest. The crowd began gathering earlier than usual, as club-goers and supporters buzzed with anticipation, the sidewalks of Washington Avenue began overflowing as the line built.

The crowd spilled through the velvet admission ropes and into the venue packing the dance floor, selling the bar out and filling the VIP section. Chaos showed love to fans upon arriving, stopping for pictures with friends and supporters as he made his way to the VIP suite surrounded with the sultry SOBE Live dancers. From wall to wall, the speakers were blazing with the most infectious soundtrack to a movie this major - courtesy of DJ Element & D1 the MC. Chaos spread love the South Dade way, jumping onto the dance floor to celebrate and falling into full character as he hit the wave “Swag Surfin” with R&B gem Cherismé - who stopped by to show love to her fellow South Florida artist

Chaos hit the booth with DJ Element, hopping on the mic and welcoming everyone to the event before making his way back to VIP where he continued to flick it up with fans. Chaos hit the stage around 2:30AM giving the at capacity crowd what they were waiting for- something to vibe to! The club ignited as Chaos performed various renditions of Grind Mode’s smash singles “I’m So High” and “Ecstasy” as he got loose with his on stage entourage the Pretty Boyz who kept the crowd amped with their explosive energy. People filled the railings of the VIP section as bottle service kept the bash going even after Chaos had exited the club. The guests kept the celebration going and rode out the party until after 4:00AM before emptying onto the streets of South Beach.

Don't be so quick to make McNair a hero

Jason Whitlock brings his edgy and thought-provoking style to FOXSports.com. Columnist for the Kansas City Star, he has won the National Journalism Award for Commentary for "his ability to seamlessly integrate sports and social commentary and to challenge widely held assumptions along the racial divide."

We can quit calling Steve McNair a great leader now. Leadership starts at home. And I'm no longer all that interested in hearing about the community service work McNair did in Tennessee and Mississippi. Service to community begins at home, too.

Stop reading now if your preference is sugar-coated, politically-correct, phony-ass pontificating. You can find plenty of that garbage littering the Internet.

I'm going to get knee deep in this Steve McNair tragedy and what it really signifies. Until the police wrap up their investigation, I'm only willing to acknowledge four victims — McNair's four sons.

I don't know how to classify the adults in this saga — McNair, his wife Mechelle or his 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel "Jenny" Kazemi.

The kids, they're victims of two horrific crimes: 1. the murder of their father; 2. their father's apparent abandonment so that he had time to wine, dine, vacation and shack up with his jump-off.

Let me repeat, I'm not some sanctimonious moralizer.

Personally, I prefer June-December romances, but a blossoming May flower certainly could be fertilized into a special, 28-year-old bouquet by a patient and attentive gardener.

As for the life-experience, station-in-life disparity between a retired millionaire quarterback and a Dave & Buster's waitress, well, let he who has never Captained cast the first hoe.

Every man I know has a little Captain in him. We see a pretty young thang working her way through nursing or cosmetology school and it's just in our nature to pay a cellphone bill, a car note or get her nails done. It's what we do. And if you've earned a chunk of change in professional sports or in corporate America, you might buy a big black Escalade in her name, fly her to Vegas or go parasailing over the ocean. It's not a black or white thing. It's not an athlete thing. It's a man thing we haven't been able to shake since Eve gave us an apple.

The look of pure, unadulterated joy on McNair's face captured as he and Jenny parasailed is one every real man recognizes as the uncontrollable feeling of elation that gushes through the male, middle-aged body when he finds the Tenderoni Bobby Brown sang about.

Do not read this as me condoning McNair's extramarital affair. I'm not.

But we don't know the nature of Steve and Mechelle McNair's relationship. We don't know what made them happy, what agreement they reached or what was transpiring in their marriage. What we do know is that McNair had four sons. And based on the observations and comments of Kazemi's neighbors and neighbors at the condominium McNair rented, McNair spent so much time with Kazemi over the past few months that people assumed they lived together.

You see, this is my problem with McNair, with American men as a whole.

We shirk our responsibilities as fathers. We don't have time for it. We think it's a part- or no-time job. We think our career is more important. We think charity work is more important. We think some young tail is more important.

We foolishly believe we're unnecessary in the rearing of children. This mindset must die.

I pass no judgment on McNair kicking it with a woman 16 years his junior. I don't agree with it, but I pass no judgment on McNair "cheating" on his wife. However, I think it's ridiculous and embarrassing that he spent so much time chasing after a Nashville waitress that he created the impression he lived with her.

Many have tried, but you can't maintain two homes, two families. If HBO has shown us anything, it's that kids are the losers when it comes to Big Love.

You can't live with a waitress in a condo/apartment, take her parasailing, clubbing, to Vegas and raise a brood of boys living in a home on the other side of town.

Kids are game-changers. Kids require sacrifice. Kids are a daily and sometimes hourly responsibility. You don't properly raise them in your spare time with money, fame, gifts and glowing newspaper and magazine stories about your courage to play on Sundays despite injury and pain.

Steve McNair sounds like a warrior who fought the wrong war. He won a public-relations battle.

He was so popular in Nashville that when his under-drinking-age "Becky" got popped driving her mistress ransom while drunk and/or high the police called a cab to give McNair, the Escalade passenger, a ride home.

This is the privilege of fame and inclusion in the boys club. We're so mentally diseased that we instinctively feel empathy and envy when we see a married father of four liquored up with his near-teenage girlfriend.

You know what the cop was thinking:

But for the grace of God, two-tenths of a second on my 40 time and the high school coach who made me play tight end rather than receiver, there go I.

Steve McNair was flawed in the same way as most American men.

Too many men think financial success is their primary and most important contribution to a relationship with their kids, wives and/or girlfriends. A grown woman has the right to settle for that. Children shouldn't have to settle for anything less than their father's very best effort.

The "Sunglass Pimp" Set The Record Straight About Rick Ross Shades On The Cover of XXL Magazine

If you've never heard of Jacob “Jack” Bernstein, you're about to get familiar.

According to Bernstein, better known as the "Sunglass Pimp," the shades worn by Rick Ross on a recent XXL Magazine cover are authentic Louis Vuitton Millionaire glasses. Earlier this week, XXL Editors received a letter from Louis Vuitton concerning the May 2009 cover of Rick Ross.

"The sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit," the letter stated. Bernstein however says the shades are authentic just slightly modified. Bernstein claims he customized the shades with solid gold accents for Rick Ross.

Bernstein explained, “It’s the same thing as buying a Rolls Royce and tricking out the entire interior, adding on a body kit, adding on the rims; after all that, you’re not going to call the Rolls Royce counterfeit. That’s the same service we provide for our clients with authentic pieces. Just because the product has been customized by me does not take away from the fact that the frames are authentic Louis Vuitton Millionaires.”

Galata, Inc, a social services agency serving Miami-Dade County organized their annual One People, One Community, Multi-Cultural Street Festival in Florida City over the weekend. The festival, which is free and open to the public, included an eclectic list of performers including the popular Kompa Band Zenglen, From G’s to Gents Hip-Hop Recording Artist Dirty, Sony Recording Group Done Deal, Chaos From Grind Mode, Sho Zoe, Step EZ, Erica Lee, Paolo Guatalo Brazillian Samba Dancers and a host of others. Standing on stage, watching Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart address the audience, Joseph G. "Billy" Louis, founder of Galata, Inc explained, “When I look at the crowd and see people blocks and blocks away enjoying the event it gives my team and I the motivation to keep doing this event year after year; with a deep smile he continues, we created this family friendly event to celebrate the cultural diversity of Miami-Dade County”.

Indeed a celebration it was, with the smell of food, the sounds of laughter and the continuous breakout of random dancing this event has become a staple in the South Dade area. In addition to entertainment, social service organizations such as Community Health of South Dade, Inc (CHI), WeCare, Mujar and more provided information on various health awareness and prevention initiatives.

Sony Recording Group Done Deal, the sole rock group on the bill traveled from Austin, TX to participate in the festival said, “We will come again if they’ll have us”. From the excitement level raised by the audience it appears their return to the festival is inevitable. South Dade artists Erica Lee, Step EZ and Chaos from the group Grind Mode received a home grown welcome from the mainly South Dade audience. The large Florida City Haitian community was also excited to see Hip-Hop Recording Artist Sho Zoe perform for the first time in their market. Without a doubt, the Kompa band Zenglen was the most anticipated group. The audience was politely told good night as they didn’t want Zenglen’s set to end. Overall over 40 recording artist performed at the festival.

The streets of South Beach roared Monday night as Club Mansion, located on Washinton Ave on South Beach, opened to the heart of Miami to host Rick Ross’ "Deeper Than Rap" album release party. Maybach Music Group’s artists entered shortly thereafter including reggae artist Magazeen, Duece Pound, Masspike Miles and the newest member of Carol City Cartel - Youngn Breed.

Mansion filled quickly as general admission and VIP crowds both eagerly awaited the arrival of the Boss. DJ Khaled took the stage around 2:00AM collaborating with Ace Hood to perform his hit singles "Cash Flow" and "Ride" before Triple C’s and the entire Maybach Music Group family took the stage. Upon Rick Ross’ arrival the entire Maybach Music Group rushed the stage as the crowd went wild to the sound of "Deeper Than Rap" pouring through the speakers. The debut single, "Magnificent" started the night off as the crowd showed their support to the Boss, followed by "Usual Suspects" featuring Nas. Ross began performing the luxuriously produced material from his third solo album standing side by side with Carol City Cartel members Torch & Gunplay. R&B sensation Masspike Miles took the stage alongside Duece Pound, Magazeen and Youngn Breed. The Boss continued to keep the crowd energized as he performed hit singles from both his debut album Port of Miami as well as his sophomore effort Trilla. It was a celebration for dominance as Ross performed all of his hits with the entire Maybach Music Group.

The night came to an end nearing 4:30AM as Ross exited the club with his entourage. The evening was truly a magnificent display of the power of Rick Ross and what the future holds for the talent of the Maybach Music Group. The star studded celebration will surely go down as "Deeper Than Rap" as the energy continues for a strong release on Tuesday April 21, 2009. Guest included Fabolous, Chad "OchoCinco" Johnson, Clinton Portis, Bryant Mckinney, Gorilla Zoe, The Runners, Bigga Rankin, DJ Irie and a host of others.
